Haunted Lighthouses of the Great Lakes Everyone loves a good ghost story, and in its recently released documentary, Haunted Lighthouses of the Great Lakes, Southport Video Productions focuses on eleven eerie tales of the supernatural, all taking place in lighthouses. These tall, isolated structures are natural settings for ghost stories. They are far removed from the rest of the population, their keepers could be both dedicated and eccentric, and maritime tales just seem to invite this kind of story. In Haunted Lighthouses of the Great Lakes, the tales involve keepers reluctant to leave their posts, the ghosts of people who died violent or tragic deaths, and even a playful kitten. These stories are told by maritime historians, and are augmented by colorful footage of the lighthouses and their surroundings. Among these stories are:
